At the beginning of August 2021, Ethereum performed an upgrade called London. The biggest change in the cryptocurrency network is the new way transaction fees work and ETH burning. At the same time, mining pools can’t perform transactions with low gas price anymore, which is why 2Miners Ethereum pool has introduced the new payout model<\/a>. Let’s see how to modify the payout threshold for ETH miners.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Here is what happened. In the past, ETH transactions for pools were affordable, so 2Miners pool was paying out mining rewards at their own expense. This model is no longer feasible, and now miners have to pay transaction fees themselves.<\/p>\n

We should point out two things here. First, the fee is currently under $3.00. Second, miners can set their own payout threshold to save money. The less frequent the payouts, the less money you spend on transaction fees. Here’s how you do it.<\/p>\n

You can modify the minimum payout only if you have at least one worker connected to the pool, which means that your rig is mining and sending shares. You can adjust the minimum payout in Account Settings.<\/p>\n

To access your account (Miner Stats page), go to the main page of Ethereum pool on 2Miners pool website<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Enter the address of the wallet you use for mining in the Your Wallet Address field.<\/p>\n

Go to Account Settings.<\/p>\n

Indicate the desired payout threshold in the Payout Value field.<\/p>\n

In the IP Address for Worker field indicate the IP address of the worker prompted by the website.<\/p>\n

The last digits of the IP address must correspond to the prompt on the website.<\/p>\n

Click Save.<\/p>\n

If you see the success message, you successfully adjusted your payout threshold.<\/p>\n

Payout adjustments apply to the whole account regardless of the number of workers in the account. You need to indicate the IP address of only one worker.<\/p>\n

Finding the IP Address in Windows<\/h2>\n

Connect to the worker (rig) the IP address of which you want to find. Log into your account (Miner Stats page) on 2Miners pool<\/a>. Go to Account Settings. Follow the link “What is my IP?”<\/p>\n

Your browser will automatically open the myIP website<\/a> page showing your IP.<\/p>\n

Finding the IP Address in RaveOS<\/h2>\n

RaveOS is a Linux-based operating system designed for mining. <\/p>\n

In the Dashboard section inside RaveOS, choose the worker (rig) and the IP address of which you want to find.<\/p>\n

Go to the worker you need and choose the SYSTEM INFO tab.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Here you’ll see the External IP.<\/p>\n

You can also find it in the console. In Dashboard, choose the worker (rig) and the IP address of which you want to find, and open the command line.<\/p>\n

Enter the default password (login: root; pass: admin) or your password. Enter the following command: wget -qO- ifconfig.co. You’ll see the IP address.<\/p>\n

Finding the IP Address in HiveOS<\/h2>\n

In the Monitoring panel inside HiveOS, go to the Workers tab. Choose the rig and the IP address which you need to find.<\/p>\n

You’ll see the Remote IP in the Overview tab.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

You can also find it in the console. Open the command line.<\/p>\n

Enter the following command: curl ifconfig.me\/ip<\/em>. Click Run.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Soon after you’ll see curl ifconfig.me\/ip<\/em> in the notification panel. Click on it.<\/p>\n

You’ll see the IP address.<\/p>\n

Finding the IP Address in SimpleMining OS<\/h2>\n

In the Rig List section inside SimpleMining OS, choose the worker (rig) and the IP address which you want to find. Click on the System Information button to see the public IP address (pub). This is the one you need.<\/p>\n

You can also find it in the console. In the Rig List section, choose the worker (rig) the IP address of which you want to find. Open the command line by selecting Sellinabox.<\/p>\n

Enter the login information as you access the console. Login: miner, pass: your email.<\/p>\n

Note that the password is not displayed when you enter it. This is part of SimpleMining OS design.<\/p>\n

Enter the following command: wget -qO- ifconfig.co. You’ll see the IP address.<\/p>\n

Problems You May Encounter and How to Solve Them<\/h2>\n

Some users encounter certain issues as they try to modify the minimum payout. In Account Settings, you will see the following message: “The IP address supplied is invalid.” Why are you having this problem and how to modify the payout in this case?<\/p>\n

Dynamic IP Change<\/h3>\n

You use a router or modem to access the Internet. You go to the page with your stats and to Account Settings. The website gives you a prompt, and you identify the worker and the IP address which you need to find. If your provider changes your dynamic IP at the same moment, you will get an error message when you try to edit the minimum payout.<\/p>\n

Reload the page with your stats in the browser and go back to Account Settings. Use the prompt from the website to identify the worker the IP address of which you need to find and the last digits of this IP. Try to edit the minimum payout again.<\/p>\n

Workers with Identical Hash Rates<\/h3>\n

You have several active workers with identical (or almost identical) hash rates. When you try to modify the minimum payout, you get an error message.<\/p>\n

Out of all workers with identical (or almost identical) hash rates, leaving only one running for a few minutes. Turn off the rest. Reload the page with your stats in the browser and go back to Account Settings. Use the prompt from the website to identify the worker the IP address which you need to find and the last digits of this IP. Try to edit the minimum payout again.<\/p>\n

Inactive Workers<\/h3>\n

None of your workers are connected to the pool (the rig is not mining \/ not sending shares). You don’t see any prompt In Account Settings. No name of the worker the IP address of which you need to find, no last digits of this IP. When you try to modify the minimum payout, you get an error message.<\/p>\n

Connect at least one of your workers to the pool. Wait until the rig starts sending shares. Reload the page with your stats in the browser and go back to Account Settings. Use the prompt from the website to identify the worker the IP address which you need to find and the last digits of this IP. Try to edit the minimum payout again.<\/p>\n
